Millie checked the living room one more time when she heard someone knocking at the door. She nodded to Mopsy to start bringing out the food as she went to answer the door. Seeing Tracey she grinned.

"Hi Tracey, please come in. Mopsy is just setting out the refreshments if you'd like a drink."

Tracey smiled as she walked through the door. "I brought a couple bottles of wine myself. I'm planning on getting pissed. Hope you don't mind. How are you?"

"Oh I don't mind at all, there are enough beds here should anyone pass out or what not." Millie assured her. "As for me I'm doing ok. Work is keeping me busy and i am enjoying every minute of it."

Waving Tracey towards the large bucket filled with ice. "I guess just put the whites in there, I figured there would be a time we'd be too drunk for chilling spells."

"How is the clinic?" she asked. She wasn't much for animals, but if she ever had one, Millie would be the one she'd visit first.

"You are brilliant, you know that?" she said as she placed the wines into the bucket. "Pansy and Daphne should be here."

"The clinic is good, I am amazed at all the fixes little animals get into.I imagine children are pretty similar. What about you? I heard you had a paper published is that right?"

Helping her put the wines in the bucket Millie nodded,"Well drunken spells are something we should all avoid. I hope they get here soon Mopsey has all kinds of munchies ready for us."

Tracey nodded. "Spent months on it. Ran into a wall when the library was blown up, but I had most of it finished. Now, I can choose to start a new study or find a master. I'm not quite sure which way I'm going."

Tracey was glad Millie offered her home. "Tell what you've been up to outside the clinic. Seeing anyone?"

"At least you finished it, not many can say that no matter what you decide to do." Millie told her with a grin.

Shrugging at Tracey's question, Millie reached for a wine glass. "Not a whole lot, had a date with Ron Weasley but nothing came of it. Are you still seeing Woods?"

Tracey's mouth dropped open. "What? You had a date with Ron Weasley? The ginger that was attached to Harry Potter's hip?" She was shocked. "I mean, nothing wrong with him, but...when?"

The look on Tracey's face was priceless and Millie stifled a giggle before nodding. "That would be the one and without Potter, he's not so bad." Cocking her head as she though, Millie pinpointed. "It was several months ago, he brought his owl in for treatment and we got to talking. He was nice though."

It took a moment for the shock to wear off, so she could follow what Millie was saying. "Millicent Bulstrode, do you normally go out with our patients' owners? scandaloussupposed that not all Gryffindors were bad. After all, she was seeing one and met several more at her party.

Still giggling Millie shook her head. "No, not usually but he did as and he was so worried about his owl. I was still surprised we weren't threatening to hex each other. You know the way a person treats their animals is a good gauge of their true nature" She told Tracey sagely.

Tracey nodded in agreement; she knew that exact feeling. "We have all grown out of that I believe," she said.

"Really?" Tracey knew he had an owl, but as for how he treated it, she could only guess the same way he treated his sisters with a protectively loving hand.

"I would hope so. Looking back I don't think the school really did us a service pitting us against each other like that."

Millie nodded it wasn't scientific fact but it did make a lot of sense at the same time.

"Besides it's not like I have a full social calender, a date now and then is a good thing."

"I'm not sure it really matter; cliques are bound to show up in school, Houses or no Houses." Shrugging, Tracey thought Millie could have a more active social calender; like she was one to talk.

"I'm sure you could ask Pansy to take you out on one of her fashion parties."

"Yeah probably so, but it just feels that letting a hat pick out who our friends should be is worse than natural cliques forming but that's just me."

Wrinkling her nose Millie shook her head, "Yeah I don't think that's my scene. I know I've slimmed out but I am still the tall fat girl in my head. I don't think that will ever change really."

Tracey shrugged, not that she didn't consider the girls in her house friends, but the truth was she wasn't really close with anyone in particular. There wasn't a girl she went to for advice or her concerns about going out with Oliver, she just did it.

"I just pray to Merlin, she doesn't ask us to help out with anymore fashion shows. I wanted to be Imperiused; that would have been far less painful."
