Percy had waited until Cho had left for dance lessons to run the errands for no other reason than it felt good to be on his own a while. He had surprised himself that morning by waking up and realizing, as if for the first time that...he was getting married. The decision to go over that weekend left time to make sure everything was settled beforehand--hotel arranged, proper priest contacted, and a vague plan for the honeymoon made. It also made events so much more real than they had been until then. In a few days, he'd be standing on a beach in Whitby spouting vows.
For a paranoid moment Percy thought they might not be able to afford everything they planned, but between working from home and what they'd managed to save, the goblins grudgingly handed him over as much as he would need for a nice set of robes and associated fees--no doubt the priest would want to be paid for the trouble of going down to the beach when it still wasn't quite spring. Sighing contentedly, Percy weighed the pouch of gaellons in his hand before deciding which direction to head. There was Madame Malkins or Twillfit and Tattings, which was pricier, but probably had better selection. Malkin was a bit more the traditional type, after all.
"You could always try both." Percy reminded himself, and with a decisive nod turned right towards Malkin's.
