Rodolphus pointedly ignored her. He did not seem to notice or hear her request; he chose not to act upon it or acknowledge it, if he was paying any attention. So she moved. She stepped closer, her front lightly touching him, and she slid to his right, her left, to head towards the kitchen.

It was an awkward move, but she was slim and fairly flexible, and instead of leaning away from him to avoid any contact, instead she pressed into him slightly. Blaming her recent experience with Blaise, she felt slightly brazen. She moved past him, the intimate moment over and smoothly walked into the kitchen, to find her path blocked by Rabastan.

She glanced at Rodolphus and turned back to Rabastan, to look up at him, and said, "I came to say that I was sorry for being so ridiculous the other day. And I like bringing you things you profess to not need."

And as he spoke to Rodolphus, she moved to his side, with no hesitation about squeezing in between him and the door. Her body fit, and her hand moved at his waist, from his front to his side, and she let her hand move slower, lingering, as she turned to catch Rodolphus's eye. Her motions were far more comfortable with Rabastan than with Rodolphus, and the measured look she gave the other brother from behind his older one was as if to say, 'I touch him; he could touch me if he wanted.'

She turned, looking about the kitchen, "Till? You don't have to do anything for me, if you do not want to. I need to find the tea, and make some fresh tea. Gully?" she called as she began to open a couple cabinets, looking, wondering if everything was in the same place from when she lived here last. She turned to her own house-elf, "Go fetch a plate of those freshly baked goods. And I want them in the silver lidded server," and she turned to light the stove, and put the kettle on, with no Till in sight. When she moved to the counter, she opened the correct cabinet, and there was a pot. In a moment, she had it filled with tea leaves, waiting for fresh water. Pansy smirked slightly, and stood near the door of the kitchen to continue listening and watching the two brothers. They really did look very much alike, and she wondered if that bothered the younger of the two men.

It took restraint Rodolphus wasn't aware he still possessed to stay still during the wanton invasion of his personal space. But Midian, good, loyal gal that she was, should sense his consternation from across the room and very nearly swooped in to maul Parkinson where she stood.

With a single, well-timed whistle the owl merely landed on his shoulder while, somewhere right on the surface of his mind, Bella readied to burst. He could feel it about to happen like energy in the air before a lightning storm.

As soon as Parkinson said something about a server, the storm hit.

'If this is the state of pureblood children today I have never been so glad we put off that duty for more austere honors! I have never in my life seen anything so, so whorish! Sweet forefathers is the bitch part Veela? How dare she go about as she please, the tart! No wonder Draco went the way he did if she was his only experience with so called proper breeding! I will not stand for this one instant longer. I don't care if she is a pureblood, that is no excuse...!'

"Shut up you damnable creature! Even when I agree with you, you can't be quiet about it!" Rodolphus bellowed, rolling his eyes. Not caring how Pansy would react, Rodolphus rounded on Rabastan, seething.

"I don't care if she's your illegitimate daughter, Rabastan, do something with her before I let the only female being I trust handle things!" He motioned pointedly to Midian, who was moving from one leg to the other in a sort of predatory dance.

The expression of disbelief on his face caused by Pansy's hands had almost become a silent plea for help from his brother before the man exploded and began talking to Bellatrix. Oh, for fuck's sake.

"You know exactly what you can do with your remarks about bastard children," Rabastan growled back, automatically turning on Pansy.

"And you," he seized her by the wrist, pulling her away from the damned tea pot and out of the kitchen, not really paying any attention to how rough he was being; she'd become a source of conflict between the brothers and now his late sister in-law, and that pissed him off the most, "Just sit there before I bind you to the fucking chair. For once, woman, do as you are told!"

A drink and a cigarette were needed. And it was probably a good idea to feed the owl. He sent Till off to find supplies for the latter. Was it too much to ask for someone to just listen?

Her eyes grew wide as Rodolphus suddenly exploded, to seemingly no one, and she looked surprised, compounded by Rabastan, who suddenly turned on her. She gasped as he grabbed her, and to her surprise, she found herself silently struggling against him. It was futile. He was taller, bigger and stronger; if he'd wanted to sling her over his shoulder, he could have. He practically flung her into a chair, and she pulled her arm to him, glaring now, and crossed her ankles and rubbed her injured wrist. It smarted but it was more the gesture that hurt. She scowled, and if she'd been a cat, her tail would have been twitching furiously.

She refused to speak but just gave a curt nod, and turned her body in the chair, so she did not seem to be paying attention to the two men. She pulled out her own cigarette, and lit it to smoke and pretend to ignore the men.

With the sudden and unexpected silence of the source of their collective agitation, Rodolphus continued with his angered gesticulation: 'You, me, talk, private, NOW!' And he stormed off towards their rooms, motioning Rabastan to follow and close the door.

"Midian, stay, and if she tries to leave, stop her."

That signal earned Rodolphus a glare, and despite knowing that he'd already locked the door magically, Rabastan had to make sure Pansy wouldn't move. "It's in your best interests to stay put," he informed her while she 'ignored' him, "That bird had half of Tony's face off before I even had time to enjoy the show." The exaggeration was only a little one; he'd seen everything.

Turning on his heel, he followed, slamming the door shut behind him and silencing the damned room before the girl heard them arguing. "When, exactly, did I die and leave you head of the Lestrange family? Stop ordering me around like a fucking house-elf and watch what you're saying aloud." He'd not meant the last part to sound quite so much like criticism, but the more Rod shouted back at the voice in his head, the more obvious it would become to others just how unhinged he was. And Rabastan was not willing to let his brother turn himself into a liability. If he ignored the woman, maybe she would go away.

"I took charge when you obviously lost the ability to turn away one brazen girl!" Rod shouted back. "God Rabastan I figured you'd be bored by yourself but bored enough to indulge a fucking Lolita complex?! Think man! You used to be the brains of the operation..." his rage died down to grumbling only long enough for him to hear what Rod had to say about Bella. "Bad habbit I got into out on my own. I'll try." He conceded.

"So what are we going to do with illegitimate child number 666?" He asked, watching the door past Rabastan as if any moment he expected to hear her scream when Midian got bored enough to disregard his order.

"A Lolita complex?" Rabastan seethed. "As you so kindly pointed out, the silly bint is young enough to be my daughter. Whatever I am, I am not a fucking cradle snatcher." He paused for a moment, trying to find another subject to channel his anger into while he dealt with this one. Rodolphus had a point about one thing though; he had lost focus. He'd admit that much.

"Bring her with us," he answered without missing a beat, ignoring Pansy's new nickname even if it was funny. "I thought I'd frightened or at least pissed her off enough to get rid of her on Monday, but today has proven otherwise. She's like a fucking kicked puppy." A snide kicked puppy on a suicide mission. "And I hate animals." The owl was almost growing on him, but that was neither here nor there. "She's pissed enough now to consider selling us out and I, for one, am not willing to let her get that far, let alone actually go through with it."

"Take her...well, we do need a cabin boy," Rod's tact turned on a dime once he thought about it. "As long as she's your responsibility, and can take an order better than the display out there. I need a day or two more to settle things here before we sail again." He still wanted to see about having Mercer look over Rabastan's shoulder and perhaps see Draco in case Lucius was still as conflicted about passing his warning along as he seemed.

"And if you really can't stand her anymore you could always modify her memory." There was always that. "We'll keep her on a short leash for now--you can manage that, can't you?"

"We do?" Rabastan hadn't really expected Rodolphus to agree with that. Not after today's performance. "Couldn't let you take responsibility for her anyway, she'd never survive." He wasn't going to comment on her ability to take orders. He just hoped she would realise that her life was at stake if she didn't comply.

"No memory modification unless it's necessary," he stated, "Following a trail of... our activities and altered minds will only really lead you in one direction." And he could not recall any of their associates working in his department. "How short? Is she grounded?" He didn't relish the thought of spending the next few days with her.

"Well she's sure as hell not going to stand around looking vunerable and underage. You know where that'll get us around the company I'm planning to keep." Greyback wasn't unique for a werewolf that he preferred his victims young. "Work out whatever you can, just make sure she sails with us in two days. If it's easier for you to lead her on from this point on I am not opposed."

'What?!'

Taking Rabastan's advice, Rodolphus didn't respond to Bella's outburst. Instead, he opened the door, let Rabastan pass in front of him and they went to talk to Pansy again together.
