Athena arrived at the flat later than intended, annoyed because she'd missed time with Charlie, but Teddy needed her more. She and Harry were going to fully make sure nothing happened to him. If she had to, she was going to die for that little boy, she was sure about that ( ... )

Charlie was too exhausted to do much more than vaguely recognize Athena's presence. He smiled a little in that place between being fully asleep and coming awake when she called them mummy and daddy.

When she kissed him, Charlie roused enough to turn on his side, wrap his arms around her and toss his leg over hers. "McG," he growled sleepily, tucking her in tight against him.

"Hello love," she smirked, finding him quite beautiful and amusing when he was half asleep. She wrapped her arms around his waist, kissing his shoulder where his Horntail lived. "And hello Rickard, have you missed me?" She asked him, tracing her finger along his tail.

"I missed someone," she muttered, kissing Charlie on the lips again before tucking her head under his chin, her ear pressed to his heart, listening to it beat.

"Missed you," Charlie mumbled sleepily.

He mumbled a few more words as she snuggled in but they were lost as he relaxed into a deep, deep sleep now that he had her back.
