1:30-2:00 Pre-Organization for the Event pb_pansy November 29 2008, 06:02:44 UTC
Pansy was waiting, for her helpers to arrive. She had a list for Hermione, and Tracey of the gowns and the designer names, so that Hermione could announce them while Tracey was in the back, holding their hand. Millie would help with sales, and Daphne could choose how she would help, either lending a hand with Millie, or supervising the caterer and the other details.

Hermione charmed her heels so that she wouldn't be uncomfortable standing in them all afternoon. It was bad enough she'd had to dress up and do her hair for this. With any luck, she'd be able to stay behind he scenes and avoid mingling.

"Miss Parkinson," Hermione offered her hand in greeting. "What do I need to do?"

Pansy had a difficult time containing her pleasure, and she summoned a clipboard as she greeted Hermione, "Miss Granger, here is a clipboard. We will be showing dresses one to sixty in sets of six at a time, by designer name. It is good of you to do this. You can add comments if you so desire, or say nothing; I think the gowns will speak for themselves. I think it would be prudent for you to wander around the changing area, so you get get some inkling as to what gowns will come out on the walkway," and Pansy held out a hand, to direct Hermione in the correct direction. She said nothing for a moment, "I take it that the gowns I sent you did not meet your approval ( ... )

Hermione briefly looked over the names. "Let's make sure I'm saying these correctly, shall we?" She recognized many of the names, but not all like Kritharioti. She ran through the list and practiced again where she made mistakes. "There wasn't anything wrong with the gowns but if they were donated for the event, I felt they should be available for purchase. I don't have fifty galleons to spare and I wouldn't feel right accepting one without donating. Is there anything wrong with the dress I'm wearing?"

Parkinson told her this dress was acceptable and she was relieved. "I was the one who asked what to wear. I had no idea what was expected. Don't trouble yourself over it. The white was very much to my taste in design if not colour for this time of year."

"I think I'll be fine. I hope I'm not too nervous speaking in front of so many people, though." Heavens she hoped not.

2:00-3:00 Pre-Show Cocktails pb_pansy November 29 2008, 06:04:51 UTC
As guests entered, they were handed a brochure. One one side, the printed schedule was neatly embossed, on the opposite, the gowns were numbered, and the designers' names were identified.

Narcissa had arrived precisely on time. The cocktail hour was the ideal time to speak up for the charity the event was supporting. It would remind people that they were not merely purchasing dress robes and gowns but donating to a very worthwhile cause.

3:00-3:30 (or so) The show pb_pansy November 29 2008, 06:08:03 UTC
The models were ready, the seats were laid out and one only needed the announcer to move to the front of the runway aisle for the show to begin.

Rosmerta had seen the announcement for the fashion show in the Daily Prophet and decided to treat herself to a new dress. Besides it was fro charity, which she was always supported. While she had planned to make it for cocktails, an kitchen emergency caused her to arrive only 15 minutes before the show.

Upon arrival to the Library, Rosie went straight the runway area to pick out a seat in the front row. Finding one, she slipped into the seat and got comfortable.

Greg needed to find a seat, and he spied an empty one next to a good looking, dark haired woman. As he sat, he turned his attention to the runway as the models began to walk out. There were a series of dresses that came out, one after another after another, all the while, he could hear a voice clearly identifying the designer's names.

He glanced at the woman sitting next to him, and thought he recognized her but was hesitant to say as much.

Rosie watched as a series of gowns walking down the runway. There were some that were amazing and others she couldn't understand how they kept it up.

The next group showed a black, gold, violet and pink gowns. The last one caught her eye and she said to herself, "Pink one' nice."

3:30-5:00 Purchasing Time and Refreshments pb_pansy November 29 2008, 06:13:35 UTC
Now that the gowns had been seen, Pansy moved to the front of the room next to Hermione, and spoke.

"Thank you all for coming. I'd like to give a warm thank you to all of the people who donated their time and effort to make this event a great success," and she began clapping as she started naming the various designers, her Slytherin pals and Hermione's name, which she thought would suprise Miss Granger.

She moved her hands, to quiet the applause down, "Thank you. At your convenience, most of the gowns can be found in the viewing area, and are available for purchase. Once a gown has been selected and the donation made, the label," and she touched the one on her own dress, "Will disappear, so as to avoid any confusion as to which gowns are still available for purchase. Please, find the refreshment just off the main room, and thank you again."

Blaise wasn't one for image events. However, Pansy had invited him and in an attempt to bridge himself back into the world as it now was, he decided it best to show his face at her event. Not wanting to deal with the agony of small talk her purposefully arrived a bit late.

After passing through the room holding many gown for display, he followed the sound of ohh's and ahh's into the area of the library that had been set up for the actual showcasing. Remaining in the back of the room, he stood arms crossed as he watched the most recent model make her way down the makeshift runway. As the young woman made it to the end and turned to walk back he allowed his eyes to begin scanning the crowd. He doubted there was anyone he wanted to approach. Then again, it was very likely that there would be someone he'd be interested in speaking with at the event.

Narcissa had selected a gown that had not been shown for herself and had the purchase secured with a substantial donation. She would need to have a few modifications made for her personal taste and figure but it was for a worthwhile cause.

She was making a tour of the room when she spotted one of her son's former classmates. "Mr. Zabini," Narcissa offered her hand. "Welcome back. Draco mentioned having spoken with you. How do you do?"

Blaise was rather relieved when the individual that chose to approach him first was one not likely to expect much of a description of where he'd been keeping himself. Most likely, she was coming over simply to be polite and because her son had no doubt told his mother he had returned. Blaise also knew that Mrs. Malfoy ran in the same circles as his mother. No doubt, Michalea would be asked about as well.

When the woman offered her hand, Blaise felt a bit awkward. Normally, he would have gently raised the hand to give it a light kiss of greeting. And while Narcissa Malfoy was a nice looking woman, she was the mother of his friend who had a husband that wo uld probably not take kindly to such a friendly and seemingly intimate gesture. Therefore, he offered the woman a nice strong handshake.

"I am well, Mrs. Malfoy. It is good to be home."
