He hardly slept that night; excitement of the next day kept him up as well as the thought of getting Orla all to himself. He woke early and set about getting everything in order. First thing breakfast. There there was a shower and fresh clothes. He didn't have a basket, so he transfigured his school bag into one. He took the blanket from his bed and shoved it into the basket. He waited until breakfast was done being served before walking down dungeons where the kitchens were.
It took him about ten minutes to find the kitchens, but once there, he looked around before giving the pear a tickle. Just as George said, a handle appeared and Dennis walked in. His mouth dropped. There had to be hundreds of house-elves working. The first one to pass him, Dennis said unsure of himself, "Excuse me. Would it be possible...I was wondering...I'd like some picnic food."
The house-elf nodded and headed off in one direction, Dennis stood next to the door to be as much as out of the way as possible. Ten minutes later, the house-elf returned with apples oranges, the makings for sandwiches and creamed filled cakes. "Thank you." he said before placing them inside the basket. "Please let me know if there is anything I can do to repay you."
Leaving quickly, Dennis bounded back up to the Great Hall to wait for Orla. He hide the basket behind his back and faced toward the directions the Ravenclaws normally came from. He had to remind himself to take deep breaths to keep his excitement down.
