He had been thinking about her; she was never far from his thoughts. And even as a young man, having faced the multitude of challenges in his life to date, ensuring that his girlfriend knew he cared was still one of the more difficult tasks he faced. He had spent almost an hour in the flower shop, the day before, studying ever flower and item in the place. He'd veered away from quills and inks again; he thought she deserved more traditional presents from him. If not from him, who else would send her flowers? He growled internally at the idea the someone else might think to send her flowers. He couldn't put a face to his jealous feelings; he didn't need to as there was no one else, but it gnawed at him to think that some body might try. She was so open and caring; he could see it, and he was sure other men were drawn it. How could they not be? She was amazingly smart, bright, witty, and beautiful. And she'd picked him. He grinned to himself at that last thought as he'd finally decided on the bluish purple flower this time. The clerk had sold him a stand for it as well, and he thought it would look great on her desk. The witch had ensured him it would be delivered at the prescribed time the following day, and Ron had sighed happily when he'd left to head home.
