Just got home from my outing to the USPS to send Mark's packages out with his clothes. Finally sent them after he's been over in England for nearly 2 months. Feels like it's been longer, but it would. $112 dollars later his clothes are in the mail. I anticipated it being expensive and looked it up online also, so no biggie. I get paid tomorrow.
Went out to Patrick Henry Pub with friends on Friday night. Saw my lovely friend Chesa who I don't think I had seen since last summer! Only spent $5 at the bar also which was nice. Saturday was the best night of this week though. My Mom & I went to go see Wicked at the Landmark Theater downtown!:
The show was sooo good. It was hilarious and the music was amazing. The girl that plays Elphaba (which is the name of the Wicked Witch of the West) was a stand by for the girl who usually plays her & she was incredible. I watched a video of the original actress singing "Defying Gravity" and thought the stand in was better than the girl who;s been playing the part for years and done all the TV appearances and shit. Anyway, if anyone ever has the chance to see it they should. It was cute how they pulled together Elphaba's story and Wizard of Oz. Ended up the night being Becca's designated driver because she had too much fun at Shamrock the Block.
Me & my LBD for the play.
Might I also mention that it had rained while we were in the play it had rained & as a result there was a huge puddle down two stairs and at the entrance of the parking garage. Not a single man stepped up to the plate and tried to help a single lady over the puddle. I was wearing red velvet booties & they got soaked. If my boyfriend had been there he would have helped me and I'm sure a few others over this puddle like a gentleman. Chivalry's seriously dead. And don't men usually like opportunities like that to be "the gentlemen" or the savior of all us ladies & our fabulous shoes? I don't get it. I don't NEED a man to cross a puddle but still.
Sunday, nothing & today pretty much the same except my trip to the post office and going to Rugged Warehouse to buy a new pair of shorts & some new under-tanks as I call them. My brother's coming over to eat dinner with us, Mom made us beef stew and it smells delicious. Later.
