One day, in Black pen, on a small piece of paper
She wrote a poem, and she called it 'The end,' because thats where she was, and thats what it was about.
She didn't show her teacher, because she didn't bother going to school anymore.
That was the year her father left home and her secret became too difficult to keep.
She hung it ion the bathroom door where nobody could miss it.
And she gave herself an 'A' and a slash on each damp wrist.

One day a piece of paper torn out of her notebook, she wrote a poem
she called it "question marked unanswered" because thats hat it was about and that was the name of her secret.
She showed it to her teacher, and her teacher said she could do better.
her mother said she would read it later and neve did.
And her father hardly ever tucked her in at night or called her little princess any more.

One day on a piece of paper she piced up from the gutter
she wrote a poem she called it "black" becuase that was the way she felt, and that was her favourite colour.
That was the year her uncle died and she found out he had molested her cousins
their mother was never proud anymore
and her father never talked, and was never home to talk to her at night.

THE END!

That day, in a pool of blood on the bathroom floor
She wrote a poem
she called it "why" because she wanted answers and she knew there were none.
That was the day her mother found her and it was too late to bring her back.
and her father held her in his arms and cried for his little princess.
