Well I just had a delightfully wacky dream, and for once I can remember most of it in order.
It started out as I was walking down Airport Boulevard, at night, heading back home. It would have been a long walk, I remember starting fairly far away from my house. It doesn't, however, seem like it was very long at all. I walked through a convenient store, which I think was modeled after a real one (but was in the wrong location). From there I ended up on the left side of Airport (where I saw a motorcycle cop walking around). I took a left, which in my mind was a left into a string of neighborhoods leading back to my house. It was said nieghborhood, at least for a little while.
The street started out with me seeing a giant group of police cars, ambulances, and fire engines all gathered round one house down the street on my left. I remember seeing some smoke coming from the house or something, but I was still trying to guess what the emergency was. I walked past the house because I didn't want to see any gruesomeness, and kept going down the street. Suddenly I was filled with a desire to notify everyone in the neighborhood about the accident at hand, and started knocking at doors. Turns out the place was involved in a neighborhood-wide game of "Bloody Santa", in which everyone puts on masks showing their faces to be grotesque bloody messes, and pass presents around. From the limited information I gathered, apparantly one of the "presents" had gone awry, causing the accident down the street.
I recall talking to a guy I know named Keith Edge who was wearing a mask (and who also does not live in that neighborhood; the place was starting to look more like a motel-shaped apartment building). He brought out from another house his friend Jenny, who in this dream seemed to be named something different, I think Patty. Weird...anyway I left them there and continued down the street, which turned into a hall. The hall was part of a church, I think. So I wandered down the hall of the church, continuing to tell people about the accident, eventually coming to the front of the church and the auditorium. I found Mrs. Paul there (a teacher at my school), and told her as well...she seemed not to care, though. The church building now looked just like my own, and I was surprised to see Mrs. Paul there since she goes to church somewhere else.
Now as I started walking out of the church I somehow went through the Auditorium (which is impossible; there isn't a door out through there), and there was a crowd gathered in there mourning for the people that died (?) in the accident I had just walked from. They were all singing, and as I walked towards the door I looked at the people in the pews and was sad to see a large amount of them not singing or paying attention, but just idly talking amongst themselves. One of the more surprising members of this talking crowd was my brother.
So then I left through a big door in the side of the auditorium, and I was outside the church. It was now blindingly daytime, and as I looked back at the church building it was very obviously not mine. In fact it was a building which I don't think exists anywhere in real life, nor the parking lot around it. So I started jogging backwards through the parking lot, still on my way home (I think), reflecting on the events I had just witnessed. I had to dodge a few crazy drivers in the parking lot, but I kept jogging backwards. It was faster than jogging forwards, after all. At this point the dream turned into the world of some books I've been reading about a future world where humans are governed by a satellite, which the humans programmed themselves to keep them from destroying their new world like they did Earth.
The terrain didn't change, but I found a guy with a bicycle (it could have been me in the third person, but I'm not sure). He was about to ride it around when he was confronted by the law, who intended to stop him because the use of wheels was illegal. In the books, this wouldn't have made sense since wheels were perfectly fine, but if humans tried to make war machines using wheels they would not be able to. Humans didn't enforce the will of the oversoul anyway (the oversoul was the satellite). So anyway, the officials eventually dismantled the poor fellow's bike after a long argument. I tried to explain to them how the bike's existance wouldn't be against the oversoul's will (since I knew all these things), but they wouldn't listen. I then took the guy who had the bike along with me so I could explain to him the oversoul's plan...here the dream changed again.
I took him to a little trailer which had a video screen. I was going to show him the videos of old earth being destroyed by man's wars (which would be impossible in the books, since such videos didn't exist anywhere. The oversoul showed these images to the main character in his head), and I think we started to see them, but then the images we were watching abruptly changed to Transformers. In fact, the whole dream changed to Transformers. While everything before this was quite serious and may even have had some sort of meaning, this last part of the dream was pretty much whimsical.
Suddenly there were four Minicons where I and the bike guy were standing, and the trailer and surrounding terrain were parts of Autobot city. The Minicons started driving all over Autobot city while the city itself was converting (resembling very much the scenes from Transformers: The Movie). We/they were driving all over walls and whatnot...the city itself appeared to be a cartoon image, but the dream switched from it being a thing I was watching to myself actually playing with the Transformers driving over the city. There was music from Transformers: The Movie playing in the background, which sounded remarkably like it should, despite the fact that I was making it with my mouth. The dream came to an end when the city turned into Unicron, who appeared to be dead. Then his head floated onto the scene, which I was holding in my hand/watching float there. I think they were about to fight/bargain with Unicron but at that point the dream was over. Whew.
So anyway, dreams aside, I've had a good Christmas. I didn't get too much in the line of presents, but what I did get was good and the rest of my family liked the things I got them so it was all great. Here is what I did get, though:
-"Walking With Frodo", a spiritual guide through "Lord of the Rings" (from my mom)
-"Isaac Asimov's Guide to the Bible", which is a neat idea since Mr. Asimov is one of my favorite Sci-Fi authors, but was sadly an athiest (from my dad)
-Transformers Energon Strongarm (brother)
-Transformers G1 Trailbreaker (dad)
-Ultraman Tiga DVD starter box w/ T-Shirt (brother)
The greatest thing about the Ultraman DVD is that it's in the original Japanese, which means no annoying dub and annoying English theme song. It's 100x better than the version they showed on Fox Box.
Finally got around to applying at Blockbuster. I also applied at Family Christian Store; hopefully I'll get a job. I really want to finish my Armada collection. =P
