THIS JUST IN! (business info)
As something she's been mulling over for quite awhile, Maya will be taking this new opportunity for player-run businesses to open up a Zodion branch of the magazine she works for, The Coolest. It will be located in the water district (not too far from the apartments) and when it opens, she will be hiring editors/columnists/people who just care about spreading the truth throughout Zodion. There will be different articles represented that are yet to be determined, but I know for sure that she will be adding in her own stories, and every issue will include a guide for newcomers and a monthly horoscope/exploration in astrology.
As with any magazine, there will be a charge per issue and she'll probably release a new one at the beginning of every month covering various topics. On this note, I was wondering if it would be okay if a realtime version of this was implemented? For example, at the start of every month I post in the ooc/spam comm or just have a designated entry with a basic outline of what the magazine contains, with the horoscope and other bits being written out just for the fun of the players and maybe as a conversation topic for the characters in Zodion. If this is too obnoxious, I'm perfectly fine just having it be implied that a magazine has been released, but I figured it might be something to add to the setting.
As for jobs available, while Maya will be taking the role of editor in chief, she'll also be looking for columnists, editors, and photographers (generally) to work with her. If this business is accepted, it's likely that she'll make a general network post announcing openings and promoting the magazine.

Obviously, there aren't as many available positions there would be in a real editorial, because it's a small print and she doesn't need massive staff to help! Still, there is the potential for a Consultant position to open up relative to interest. If your character wishes to consult for the magazine with information or freelance in exchange for a small payment, please let me know via comment to this entry and we can work out the details and such. Otherwise, if your character is interested in a job above, please leave a comment here with the following form:

Please note that qualifications aren't too strict; as long as your character is interested in journalism or has some experience in it, Maya's likely to hire them.
The Coolest doesn't have strict hours, either, as it isn't an ordinary business, and employees are free to come and go as they please and use the resources available to them to record the stories and articles they write, as long as the materials are turned in by the deadline. The hours for visitors and potential consultants run from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays. Those kinds of things are obviously handwaved (as they're tedious), and there will be a great deal of "godmodding" involved as far as the actual work part is concerned.
And one last thing! Maya will want to be able to advertise/sell her magazine in various places and businesses. If your character owns a business and they would be okay with having the magazine for sale in their shop/whatever, please comment here! In your comment, please include the name of the business and the name of the business owner. Otherwise, Maya will be charging the employees with the task of getting the word out and selling the magazine out of the place of business.
