Five Shows That Could Be Improved With a Little Scifi. Hell to the yeah! Though I'm pretty sure I still wouldn't watch 90210, even with Terminators.
We saw some awesome costumes at Polaris, but this may be the coolest one I have ever seen.
DON'T BLINK! Some Doctor Who knowledge needed, but even those who've never set foot inside the TARDIS should be able to grasp how cool this costume is.
And check out the making-of. This took mostly simple stuff, but a hell of a lot of talent and planning.
AAAAAND they're off! The slashers are off to the races.
EW released some outtakes from their HP photoshoot, and damn, those boys are lookin' fine. You guys know Harry/Draco is my OTP, right? I mean, come on. Ginny is so obviously the beard. It's always been about Draco, especially during the sixth book.
Peek inside the Dollhouse. We haven't even had one episode air yet, and I'm already halfway in love with Enver. That boy is too cute for words. Also, damn, that is a terrible picture of Tahmoh. He is usually much prettier than that.
A Sorta-Maybe Love Letter to Joss Whedon. This is very sweet, and really struck a chord for me, as I am also one who normally eschews "girly" things, like talking about feelings.
Repo! the Genetic Opera's Pre-Surgery Sampler. I am all about this movie. Yes, even though it's got Paris in it. After that McCain presidential ad, I kinda like her. It's a grudging respect, mostly. But the songs are pretty awesome, and Tony Head rocks my world. I miss you, Giles!
This is so incredibly wrong (and NSFW, so be warned) that I have no idea how to tag it. It's not a joke, it's something that was actually published and distributed, so keep that in mind. I'm glad that we're at a point where we, as a society, are can look back and say "OMGSOWRONG" and realize that we were so stupid, it's actually kind of hilarious.
If you don't know,
LJ is having a paid account sale. Through the end of September, paid accounts are only $16, as opposed to $25. If you've already got a paid account, don't fret, it just adds 12 months onto your current package.
RTD talks JKR and his pick for the Eleventh Doctor. Why is he bending to Tennant's demands? C'mon, Rusty. Cowboy up.
CUBECRAFT. I totally want to try this! I'm gonna have to see if I can find a place that sells heavy paper on the cheap so I can try. How cool is the TARDIS one? I mean really, that's awesome.
Let's keep that anti-sparkle train rolling, shall we?
The Smart Bitches give their review of "Twilight." For a D+ grade, they still have some pretty favorable things to say.
Last but not least:
Amazon has "Exposition Song" from the "Restless" episode of Buffy available for free download. You have to download their player first, but whatever, this song has never been available before and it's FREE. Go forth and distribute.
