Animals.

No, this is not about how Gryffindor seventh year boys act like complete animals.
It is about the fact that my parents are sending me my first pet in my seventh year.
Which makes no sense at all.

I got a letter last week saying they were sending my brother up to Hogsmeade soon to drop it off for me.  Why they would send me a pet now after I accidentally killed my last four, I don't know.  (Princess was not my fault!  The toad was stupid and ugly and hopped in the way of Kingsley's foot.  Then again, none of the others were my fault either.  They all just contracted a mysterious disease that may or may not have been caused by one Sirius Black.)  My parents said that it was Gregor's cat (my brother) but that something strange happened to it and that he no longer wanted it.  They figured I'd like it.  How nice.

Here's the photograph they sent me of it:

I have the feeling it's going to scare everyone and it will meet a bad ending too.  I wish I had some skills with animals, but sadly, my brother and I are cursed when it comes to them.  It's name... well, Gregor didn't have it long enough to name it.  Any suggestions?  (And as scary looking as everyone thinks it is, I think it may actually be cute.  A little uncomfortable to pet, but cute.)

According to my parents's letter, it'll be here tomorrow.

EDIT:  Alright, we have a name.  Eureka.  Isn't that cute?
The cat is going to need a bodyguard though, judging by how many people want to kill it already.
