Two favourite kinds of CC

*anyway*

Does anyone feel like the music is particularly sticky at the moment? The bass just wont leave me alone, I can't walk or think within it a step behind me. Too many rec. drugs? ...perhaps.

Hallelujah - this was friday night: thanks cut copy.

oh man, so they don't even play the trumpet live? that trumpet bit and the song "going nowhere" are their only redeeming features in my opinion.

also, was that dancer part of the band or a random? if they were part of the band that's now TWO manchester bands ripped off...

of course #1

and now:

haha traveling spain and still cynical!

Hahahah nah he was in the support band the Mercy Arms. He 'ad a sorry day shirt on - therefore he is my new favourite. His leopard print tights only added to the spectacle.

Seriously, Ister and I were only just five minutes ago discussing how you would have loved it.

But oh well, your loss :D

PS 'ton, you like hardcore. Every hardcore band has been ripping off every other hardcore band since hardcore existed. The end :)

your favourite band sucks, deal with it. the "faggots" there were probably all hardcore dropouts haha.

i actually don't so much have a problem with the band themselves more that the fan club won't recognise the history and they don't seem to acknowledge it in any press or anything. like, the modern hc bands i like are heavily influenced by old stuff but it's obvious and more of a tribute thing, they recognise their influences rather than try and make out like they're doing something new and cutting edge based entirely on their own ideas.

it just shits me that this band are getting huge by doing the same shit that's been done years ago while so much of the fan club is ignorant of the pioneers of the style. but whatever, if all you want to do is take drugs to make average music sound great and dance all night then go for it, it's not hurting anyone.

wow, hope that wasn't to me because I couldn't give a shit and don't listen to that genre/whatever much and care much about that genre past/present or future bands.I'm not ignorant I just don't get into it greatly. And by faggots I mean metros not those people that would go to every show who now replace that with pills and amps and rich kids parties.
but hey if that wasn't at me then just ignore everything I typed.haa

Personally I think their sound is way more influenced by French electro, Ed Banger, DFA, Cassius kind of stuff more than 80s stuff. I wouldnt say theyre any more derivative than any of that left field electro stuff. And theyre very open about their influences in interviews.

The jerks at the show, however, were a bunch of claremont dicks that obvious have jumped on the bandwagon since Good Vibes. But Im not into letting retards like that ruin my good times so *shrug*
