Plague: A Feeling of Isolation

Usually Lizzie's licks woke Chelsea up. They had become a lot more adorable and less annoying than her alarm. When the second week of plague started Chelsea failed to wake until Lizzie started barking insistently in her ear. It hadn't taken long to establish Rea couldn't hear and then to discover when she went to comfort her that she couldn't feel

"Remus," Chelsea slowly lifts her head from where she had been resting it against her knees. "I'm...I am fine. You can come in." Lizzie gets off the bed Chelsea is insisting her dog sleep on now while she can't feel anything and is worried about hurting her, and comes to the door barking excitedly.

Chelsea starts to move her head to put her head in it's usual place on Remus' shoulder. It upsets her when she can't feel that's it's reached it and that she can't feel Remus' warmth.

"That's.....horrible." Remus presence is breaking the dam and tears fall on to cheeks. "I ...can't feel you."

"Not a thing....not Lizzie....not my own skin." She looks with some anguish at him. "I can't let them see me ...not like this...not when I can't touch them."

"I've Rea, it could be way worse," she mumbles. It's weird not being able to feel things, she can't curl her body in and fit to Remus without him moving her because she can't feel if she is positioned right or awkwardly.

"But I wish you were here...you make things easier."

[poshtottie]

"Could you all move in here for awhile?" Chelsea's eyes are hopeful.

[poshtottie]

"Couldn't they come with you,...please?"

[poshtottie]

"I can't leave Rea alone....I'll just have to visit, a lot." She tries not to sound too disappointed.

"But they aren't St Trinians," Chelsea doesn't know how else to explain it. "If...she did anything...you know they will not listen...to find out why."
