I'm attempting to update, but currently Melanie is on the phone in a half-asleep stupor babbling on and on about having sex with her gay fantasy-man named Dan and how Todd has a seductive voice and her marriage to todd tomorrow. Slightly distracting.
Well anyway, today was chaos! I went to bed rather early last night and woke up rather early this morning to catch the 1:23 to GCS to meet ALTHEA! It was absolutely incredible to be reunited in front of the information booth. I jumped for joy at the sheer sex that is my Althea. She was all sexed out to make her boyfriend want her. I don't understand these couple mind games people play. We'd been planning to see eachother for soooo long and when we finally did, oh my. Anyway. We went to take the subway from GCS and Althea claimed she could get us to her boyfriend's house. We needed to get to canal street but we had absolutely no clue which line would take us there. Althea insisted we would be heading uptown so we took the uptown 4, 5 or 6...one of the green ones and ended up on 59th street...yeah. i know. Neither of us would ask for help so I figuredthings out and we took a chance and ended up on the right line and it felt sooo good. then we arrived at canal street and used our killer instinct and random guesses to get to her boyfriend's duplex in soho. it was snazzy. He wouldn't answer the buzzer for about ten minutes so we tried to break in which didn't go over so well and then we yelled up and finally got to him by calling. He had a lovely all white and stylish home but it was awkward for Althea and I so we decided to pretend we had an exotic dance class to attend. We actually just wandered aimlessly around those little chinese boutiques looking for watches and hokey friendship rings. We didn't buy anything but had fun touching and trying on and chatting. I love her to pieces. We used our newfound subway skills to get back to GCS and to take the 6:23 home.
I got home and waited for someone to pick me up and then walked home because my mom was late. My mom, my brother and I all walked down the street to Sophie's wake. I hate, hate, hate funerals and wakes and I have never been exposed to them 9only one when I was only 8 and found a drumstick in the bushes outside of the parlor). It was open casket and about 20 people showed up and I just had one of those depressing moments where I thought...wow. this isn't a good way to go. No family. Few Friends. Alone. A crisp, little, made-up image of myself sleeping. I had to leave before I went insane so I said my goodbyes and walked home.
Ana came over and we had a fantastic time talking with my mother and having dinner and then we watched Hedwig. And I fell in love again. Oh my. That movie is one of the few I can watch over and over again and never grow bored with. It's just...wow. Then Ana did my make-up. Yes. that's right. She brought a little make up bag and made me up to look like a tranny and then a pretty young lady. It was bizarre. and I have pictures to post later.
She left. I got Melanie off the phone by telling her that her weddding would come sooner if she slept. That girl is on crack. I swear it.
