There's a program that is run through the college called "America Reads". What it does is pairs elementary students in grades 1-3 with college students, so that the college students may mentor the children and help them improve their reading.
This has a double benefit, also: Not only do I get to fule my passion for helping children, but I also get some experience with kids in a "non-custodial" setting that is required for me to be certified.
The meeting is September 16, during the day, so I can go to class, do this, then go to the concert for Makaila at night. =) It's very nice.
And my cousin Lynn and her baby Lily just came to visit. I love babies. They are so terribly cute and precious and so innocent. =) What little miracles.
