"how's your hole?"
So the gay bar that I mentioned that I emailed... I went last night to be interviewed. The interview was in boca (a freaking hour drive) at this nice club, but made sure that the location I was applying for was south beach. The interview went really well, I had a nice conversation with the man, and he asked me to stay at the club for the rest of the night and chill at the bar and watch the one woman/fag-hag act. That lady was hysterical, a 65 year old fag hag singing standards, 50's, and comedic numbers directed to a gay audience. The audience was VERY small, but it was a tuesday night. The owner told me to call on monday and he would schedule me for hours.
Which means, I got a job at a gay bar on south beach.
I'm still incredibly shocked. I wasn't expecting a job like this at all.
I guess I'll find out on monday exactly what I'll be doing. I'm still not certain if I'm going to bartend or assist the bartenders. I'll be most likely doing the latter first. But it's fucking exciting.
Boca is weird. Everyone seems to have moved from the northeast recently, and it's a smallish town, basically. *shivers* And everybody's white. Not surprising, but it was a bit overwhelming, hehe.
