Today was the first day of classes, and I had my first english class today. Cool british lady, much better than last semester. To use up about 20 minutes, she had us write about 4 items from our dorm room, describing them in 2 or 3 sentences. Mine went like this:
"Refrigerator - This mini, compact refrigerator keeps everything frozen, or much colder than what it should be. If forgotten about, it shall produce various types of fungus. It lays humming under the microwave.
Wooden Loft - These pieces of wood support us and make room in the tiny dormitory. They are made up of 2 by 4's. Tey are also written on occasionally by random people; the funniest comments are usually made by people who weren't sober.
Recliner - This is what makes the dorm room a home. It was bought from the salvation army. It sits in front of the TV and isn't ever lonely.
Hamper - The hamper lays in the closet for my dirty clothes. It is blue, and gets dragged once a week back and forth to the laundry room. It is slightly worn."
Then she collected them, mixed them up, and gave it back to the class. She had us describe the person that wrote about their items. This random person wrote:
"This person likes to relax and spend time in his/her room. All the items selected reflect this. The wooden loft and recliner are places one can lay or sit on for periods at a time. The refrigerator keeps food accessible near the recliner and loft."
I'm a slacker. :) Slacker, as in, "someone who puts off doing things to the last minute," "an adjective which means to be lazy or to fool around," and the best one, "An accolite of the Church of Subgenius." Taken from the one and only urbandictionary.com,
Norm: "Shizzle dude, it's time for work..."
Accolite: "..Tell em I cant go in because my religion forbids it"
Of course, I'm not that bad. I do go to class and work and study, but that doesn't mean I can't complain about it. Aldo would be proud.
In other classes, Evolution seems easy, and Ear Training is a no brainer. We'll judge Music Theory and Calculus tomorrow.
