Life Lessons

I've learnt something.

As I was cruising FB, looking at the pictures of old friends whom I've not met for years, I came across a schoolmates' profile from secondary school.

I remember her as the bubbly schoolgirl who got knocked up at the age of 16 to a boyfriend who didn't know how to treat her right and worse, was violent at times towards her.

It's been years since I've caught up with her and it's no surprise that she recently gave birth to her second child and I never learned about it til now. She got married to that same boyfriend who got her preggies and they've been together since.

Although I may not know if she's leading a happy life or not, I admire her positivity towards life and her endurance to make the people around her happy. That's what I gather anyway from her FB wall.

It is truly encouraging and I draw strength from her strength if you know what I mean...

Many people felt sorry for her especially after we found out that she had decided to keep the child and stay with a man who was not even a man at that time. He was just a teen and still in school.

But she managed to turn everything around, shut everyone's mouth with her positive attitude.

I'm sure she may have had her downtimes but she pulls herself up each time.

Everyone should take a leaf out of her book!

No matter what the scenario, one should always stay positive and look on the bright side of things! No matter how terrible the situation may seem, chin up! Tomorrow is a better day and life will go on. You should have it no other way.
