Ohhh. So you're an inorganic Pokemon, if you don't mind me saying.

I'm really fascinated by that.

It does not cause offense to state what is fact. The validity of a lifeform is not defined by its composition.

it's okay! 140_96 June 27 2011, 01:54:25 UTC
Where I come from, constructs of artificial intelligence have very strong human-like traits and instincts and thus are capable of perceiving offence in logical statements of fact.

Do you have autonomy, Porygon-Z?

I have observed the social constructs of human interaction. I am programmed with an understanding of such emotions. However, it is unbeneficial to allow bias to affect data analysis.

I am capable of exercising autonomy, if I wish.

And what is your course of action now that you have obtained such free will?

I have created a new objective for myself. I will reapply my research towards this purpose.

May I observe you? I've never met a Pokemon like you before.

My name is Mei Ling. My area of expertise are data analysis and application with specialities in communication systems. My interest is purely educational and thus, in a observational capacity. Nothing more.

How will you purpose this observed data?

The sole purpose is to fulfill my curiosity. I like learning.

You do not have an application for your knowledge?

140_96 June 27 2011, 03:41:52 UTC
Not directly. I learn and observe because it is in my capacity to do so. If somewhere in the future I have a use for them, then all the better. But all knowledge is useful one way or another, though the usage may not be immediate or apparent.

I see... Then I will accommodate for your learning when possible. As assistant computer technician, I perform routine administration of the school network. You are welcome to observe.

However, I cannot allow you to interfere in classified research.

Affirmative. I wouldn't dream of requesting access for things I am not privy to. I'm not that kind of person. That's Otacon's job.
