gotta keep up
i suppose now that i decided i'd update this every so often i should probably keep up on that
so last post was an overall happy one. i'm in a crappy spot tonight...hopefully that'll clear up by the weekend
first off, i'm sick. i hate being sick. nothing freaks me out more than the concept of being sick. think about it: your body has an unwelcome intruder and is making your body MALFUNCTION. how messed up is that...some stupid virus (or bacteria, i'm not sure) got into my system and is telling my nose to not stop making stuff and to sneeze way more often than it should.
some other malfunction is telling my ear to clog and screw up my hearing...if i did ANYTHING else for a living i wouldn't care so much. but no i gotta bne a musician and depend on my ears. roar!
second off, my "awesome job" at the school of the arts...yeah that's done. i got a call from them saying "we've been getting complaints that you've been coming in late so we're gonna terminate you immediately." which i can respect, but they skipped the part where they TELL ME ABOUT IT and right to the part where they fire me. i was never told about any complaints...in fact my students really enjoyed coming to me. bastards. "your official notice of termination will be arriving in the mail." so they'll take the time for the formality of a pink slip...but not for the formality of, y'know, TELLING ME THERE'S A PROBLEM.
fun times with the girlfriend. after a month or so of on/off/on/off we finally decided to stay off...all we've managed to do in the past month is piss each other off.
jazz band is doing some interesting things. so far we have an original song almost done, a variation of a song from a video game almost done, and a few covers lined up (including brubeck's "take five"). can't wait to get this band in action. anyone have ideas for names?

i've been doing better in the magic tournaments...i made top 4 this past week. but the REAL glory is in my sunday tournaments. that's right...POKEMON. it's so back. after 2 tournaments, i remain undefeated. goddamn i rule.
