Down to the Wire with Portus
Yes friends, I do still live and breathe! It seems that the month of June just ran away from me. At the last minute we decided to send my oldest daughter to a stay away summer camp for three weeks. this meant there was a whirlwind of activities to get her ready. She's been gone since June 22, and I've been working like mad to get a bedroom make over done for her in the time available until I have to leave for Portus. In my spare time I've been trying to keep the other two kids busy enough to avoid summer boredom. Plus, I've been trying to get some things taken care of for my mother and deal with some health issues of my own, while last but not least make time for my husband and I to do more than pass like ships in the night. This has meant that I've really been a very poor LJ friend. When ever I found any free time it was late and I've been too tired to articulate anything with a shred of intelligence. So I've tried to keep up on my WIP's, but I'm woefully behind in reviews. I PROMISE to get caught up eventually!
So now I'm running around like crazy to finish getting ready for Portus, and Snapefest! I'm so excited! Especially about getting to spend time with all my LJ friends that are coming. I can't wait to see everyone I met last year at Phoenix Rising, and all the LJ friends I'm going to meet for the first time. My primary goal for this trip is to spend as much time just hanging out with as many of you as possible, formal events be damned, unless they are Snapecentric and will include a good number of you. I'm going to try and keep my eye on LJ to see if any important Snapecast or Portus news is posted. You probably won't hear from me again until I get to Dallas early Tuesday evening. But once I'm there and settled in my room at the Hilton Anatole, I'll be out and about trying to find as many of you as possible. Keep an eye out for me, the redhead using a power wheelchair, and don't hesitate to call my cell phone listed on the Granger-Snape 100 spreadsheet, distributed by droxy. I'm looking forward to some quality Snapeing!
