Portus Meeting Announcement
I've got some things finalized as to where we will meet, the time, and what will go on. A few days back, I went down a list that Droxy put together of people (mostly Granger/Snape fans) who are going to Portus, and I've emailed them, asking if they wanted to have a meet up and explaining some suggestions.
Some people did reply back, and I appreciated that very much. Nothing like brainstorming! Of course, some didn't even give me so much as a "Sod off, pest," which ultimately was no help at all. Needless to say, we've come up with something fun.
When?
Saturday on July 12th
Time?
11:00 AM through 1:00 PM
Where?
Mariott Courtyard (just around the corner from the Anatole)
What?
A meeting place for Granger/Snape fans (others welcome).
I've reserved a meeting room for us, and we'll have chips (crisps), salsa, and veggie trays for a bit of light snacking while we chat.
My friend LadyoftheMasque has kindly agreed to read a snippet of something to us either from fanfiction or something original. How fun is that! And if possible, we can possibly play a little game of "Name that Fanfiction" while there.
You know I love to give away prizes and such. I'll think of some things to buy for us and stuff to do. We can treat this like a round table chat. I simply want to meet everyone.
Spread the word.
Some people have offered to make donations of a few dollars, which I greatly appreciate, as it is a little costly, but it's worth it. If you can't make a donation, don't let that keep you from coming. We love you anyway.
