I haven't updated in ages, despite the fact that quite a few interesting things have happened to me in between now and my last post. I went to the eighth grade dinner dance ,school ended, I saw Phantom of the Opera on Broadway the Saturday afterwords with Mom and Mary, I watched all six Star Wars movies with Emily a few days later, the next Saturday Dad took us to see Spamalot on Broadway, Mary is now in France, I got my first passport, and I was snubbed online for the first time in my memory. And, of course, I'm only posting tonight because I took an online quiz that I'd already taken a while ago and got pretty much the same result.

Take the
Dante's Inferno Test Anyway, I've decided that Hugh Panaro is the best Phantom ever (and it sucks that there isn't a recording of him) and that I really love Broadway. It's weird to sleep in my room at Dad's house alone, but the only time I've had trouble sleeping was last night. I am so fucked when Mary goes off to college.
Luke has been working for Mom a few hours each day (there are perks to being the children of a small business owner). Luckily for me, Mom realized that due to the employment of the male half of my family and my brother's active social life I would spend a good portion of the day alone. As a result she offered to let me come over with Luke and loaf at her house. She even let me invite Emily over today. We planned on playing pool in the basement, but the discovery of our Star Wars Monopoly set put an end to that plan in the amount of time it took for Emily to glance at one of our shelves.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Dad decided to get his ass into gear and almost randomly started taking down the wallpaper in the bathroom. He's been on the verge of remodeling several parts of our house for a few years now. Currently we need a new ceiling, linen closet, and paint. Dad hopes to get the vanity, tub, and toilet out some time near the end of the week. Mary is coming back from France with the daughter of her host family on the 24th. I have my father's assurances that the bathroom will be usable by the time they get here. I think that he's probably right, we've already ordered most of the new essentials.
While I would prefer to be hurriedly typing this up during a few stolen moments in an internet cafe in some famous city in Europe, my life has been rather enjoyable and surprisingly exciting recently, even if I am still stuck in a New England suburb.
