"Oh wow, THAT is big."

She looks down and sees that Wheatley is looking at the sky, at the far distance of the wheat fields, at everything that his optics can absorb, and she recognizes that dilated expression of both fear and awe. She understands; she's seen the outside world before, and this place was beautiful, but it was bright, and big, and so very different from the white, confined testing chambers that had been their prison for so long. She felt an odd sense of vertigo, had the vaguely uneasy feeling that if she stepped wrong that, somehow, she would fall straight up into the air, with no ceiling to save her. It's an unsettling feeling.

Wheatley clearly felt similar, if his ramblings were anything to base it on, "I mean, seriously, how did...you can't even see the top! I mean, don't get me wrong, it is brilliant, a master work of engineering no doubt, but who on earth thought that they needed this much space, I mean, this is massive! Is everything this big, or does it sort of narrow down as we go? Look at those, what are those, the golden things? Leaves. Yes, yes, undoubtedly leaves, makes sense, plant-life growing from the ground are called, no, no, not leaves, grass, feel a bit foolish now, definitly called grass, but look at them! They're taller then you, luv! Not to say your obscenely tall or anything, I'm sure that by human standards you are just the right size, but still! Amazing!"

Wheatley looked around, and then looked up at her, "Is this going to hurt? Being out here I mean? I'll admit, I am feeling a bit out of my depth right now, starting to wonder if coming out here was a bit foolish on our end..."

Chell shook her head, placing what she hoped was a comforting hand on the metal above his eye. She wished she could tell him that everything was going to be fine, that she would make sure of it, but the silence that had once long ago been used as a form of defiance was now, after a serious drop in health due to being in a coma for far too long, the only option. She could tell him nothing.

She took a breath and clutched him tightly, before taking her first step away from the shed, and out to the field.

So she'd just have to show him.
