It was so fast.
She didn’t even get to feel any pain. Maybe that was what bothered GLaDOS the worst.
It took Orange and Blue at least an hour to bring the body, now silver-haired, now still as well as quiet to her lair.
“I suppose you think I’m going to say something nice.” GLaDOS said. It was almost normal. She said something mean, Chell sat there. Laid there. Did nothing.
“Humans changed.” Glados said at length, retracting into her chassis slightly. “People stopped hating people who liked other people. People stopped hating gay people. Also, they stopped hating fat blimp adopted people too.”
The emaciated form on the ground did nothing. Said nothing.
“I’m lying.”
With no response, GLaDOS sent Orange and Blue away. It was the last time either of the dual testing companions ever saw GLaDOS up close. She tested them. They did what they were asked. Time marched on.
It wasn’t until the last speck of dust crumbled away from the skeleton that Chell was truly gone, but GLaDOS had been lonely for a long, long time.
