Ah, Monday.

Today was actually pretty good at work. if you don't mind sitting in meetings all day. And I don't, not usually (no more than anyone else who works here and knows they're a fact of life). There were some people from the Swedish Ministry visiting the Department this afternoon, so we all got to brush up on our Translations Charms.

Ali's at work tonight for a while, for the time being, it's just me and Tommy. Well, Ren was here with Millie earlier, so Tommy got to spend some time with his cousin (I think he likes her more than she likes him). He's going to have another one in July, and I think he's happy about it. He's still a bit wary of Jimmy, but he eventually warmed up to Millie, so I think much the same will happen this time.

Ali and I are also going to the Kestrels/Portree match this weekend, and we sort of fluked into that particular match-up. Now just who are we suppose to hope wins? Dee's on one side and Devin's on the other. I'd imagine Shannon's in the same pickle, though I imagine the mood will be better at her place afterward if Portree wins. It's been ages since I went to any sort of match, so I'll take what I can get, I guess (thank you, Jason, for the tickets). I would like to eventually get around to seeing the Arrows in person again, though.

I have a stack of Prophets to read, so while Tommy's content spilling the contents of his toybox all over the floor, I'll catch up on a couple and see what news I'm supposed to know and/or care about these days.

Well, we all had dinner together last week (I think it was Wednesday?), and everyone lived to talk about it afterward. I'm impressed. THat was a ton of people in Mum's house at once, I am still shocked we all managed to fit.

I met Mum's new boyfriend, Jason O'Hare what is it about us and the Irish? for the first time at said dinner, and... well. I like this one, I have to say. I hope it doesn't go the way of some of the other blokes who I thought were nice at the start, because Mum seems to really like this one. She's happy, at any rate, and she's easier to deal with at work though that's likely because- ARGH. This is my MOTHER I am talking about, I'm sorry, I know it makes me look juvenile, but I can't even write it-. No complaints there.

I also met the bloke that is quite obviously the current object of Brielle's affection, and other than the awkward introduction and the potato incident, I think he's alright. A bit quiet though, which will certainly get you lost in this family. We'll see just where this goes, as well.

And I am excited to be an uncle again in July, really. Ren is absolutely thrilled to be pregnant again and as long as my sister is happy, then so am I. She's a brilliant Mum.
