So! Happy news all around lately, I think...
My newest niece, Miranda, is absolutely brilliant. She's definitely got the Basil genes (lucky kid), as she's the absolute spit of her mother. It's almost uncanny how much she looks like Ren, actually (makes sense, though, since Millie's all Trevor). I was over for a visit yesterday afternoon after work and I have to say... it was hard to give her up. I don't know if it was a special occasion, but she was a very pleasant baby.
And of course, no one could miss the news about Brielle getting married. I'm still trying to digest- Certainly a surprise, but she and Will seem to have settled in well, so. Hope the new flat is treating you well. You'll notice I've resisted the urge to drop in unexpectedly. And Galen, you get the old place to yourself again, you lucky sod!
As great as all that is, though... I have some news of my own. Well, it's really mine and Ali's. We're going to be parents again in late February or early March (and Tommy is going to get to be a big brother)! Needless to say, we are both absolutely over the moon about this! It's certainly put me in a fabulous mood today and nothing that happens at work today will be able to put a damper on it.
Now if you will excuse me, I do believe that's the sound of Tommy waking up... We're going to surprise his Mum with breakfast (shh!), so I should attend to him before Ali wakes up and our fabulous plan is spoiled.
