I knew about the Abba, looking forward to it! I saw the Mama Mia musical twice and own two copies of the DVD. I'm kind of concerned with the movie sequel.

I don't think that I want to know how much that liquor order set you back!

There's a food porn TV show that you should check out if you have Netflix: Samurai Gourmet. It is hillarious.

XQD? Haven't heard of that one. Perhaps I should look in to it, it's possible my new Lumix might be compatible, it's only a year old or so.

I'm quite tempted to take Mum along to Mamma Mia sometime - they were always one of our shared musical delights, along with Eurythmics, Queen, and Mike Oldfield. ^_^ Ah, to see Eurythmics or Annie Lennox in concert.. but, AFAIK, she hasn't been performing for a few years now. And of course, I can only wish I'd seen Queen, especially A Kind of Magic.. that said, of course, the rest of the group's still active, now with Adam Lambert heading up the vocals, and seemingly doing a pretty good job of it.

*grin* It was a bit, yes. ^_^; Only trouble, of course, is you hardly feel like tucking into it routinely, so FSM knows how long it'll all now last.. and if the move does take place in a couple months, will it even be practical to bring it with me? I might simply leave it for the roomie. =:)

Ooo, that could be fun! I still miss the prime days of Iron Chef - back around 1998, one of the Bay Area stations aired the original series with subtitles. Absolutely wonderful!XQD's apparently a Sony thing, and only seems to be supported on a few ( ... )

Did you know that THE Richard Branson's Virgin Label released Oldfield's Tubular Bell's? Mike was discovered by Richard! At least according to a How I Built This podcast interview. It was quite interesting.

Actually, only 2/3rds of Queen is touring. John Deacon retired after Freddie's death and is not part of the new gig with Adam fronting. Still, two of the originals would be awesome to see!

I loved the Japanese Iron Chef. The American version? Not so much.

I bought a new Lumix pocket camera in November. It has single shot and burst mode - nothing in between, which is slightly vexing. And since Panasonic != Sony, yeah, probably not going to be in my future. My last shooting series was at the Air Force Base where I worked, just before the job ended. I shot their static display war birds, which were mostly planes that I'd never seen before! It was quite awesome to me.

But the burst mode - I REALLY want to try it out in the hummingbird cage at Sonoran Desert Museum in Tucson!

According to Wikipedia re: MO: "Oldfield's latest album, Return to Ommadawn was released on 20 January 2017 and reached #4 in the UK Album Chart.[39] On the 29 January 2017 Oldfield again hinted at a Tubular Bells 4 album via his official Facebook fan page; he uploaded photos of new equipment and a new Fender Telecaster guitar with the caption "New sounds for TB4!"[40] The Daily Mail also reported that Oldfield is working on a fourth Tubular Bells album.[41 ( ... )
