Just sign it. Petition to President Bush to act on his words about Genocide in the world. He said "Not on my watch". Sign it so he knows that we Americans demand that something be done about this.

Read about the situation in Darfur. Get informed and spread the word. It always brings me to tears and maybe you all will realize something too.
Okay, so maybe it seems like I have just picked this up, but more recently there have been reports of what is actually happening in Darfur. I am also taking a class on NATO, and part of that class focuses on the UN. I didn't realize things were so bad, until I spoke to a friend of mine in my class. He has been in three of my classes. He is a refugee from Sudan. He was one of the very lucky ones and escaped the genocide to come here to the US. He has been here at UNH for the past three years, safe from harm and I bet he is thankful every day for his lucky chance. I would love to donate my time and energy and money to this cause, but as of right now, I can barely sustain myself. But in a few months, I will be able to donate to Darfur. I can't believe things like this actually happen, but it's time that we all knew about it and did something, whether it be as simple as spreading the word. So take a bit of time out of your day and inform yourselves of what is going on.
