Which is what the Cubans call Cuban sandwiches. It's been a while since I've written anything in this thing, so I decided an update was in order. Life has taken an absolutely startling turn for the better. My US Work Permit came in the mail a few days ago and I'm going to apply at the Bonefish Grill out here in Pensacola this afternoon to get a job. I go to Jacksonville on the 18th of the month for my interview for my Green Card. My dad is coming next week, and coming with him is my new car (which I'm paying for, but we're getting it in Canada cuz cars are a little cheaper up there and I can do that since I'm a citizen of the country :) ). A brand new '06 Malibu. The house currently smells amazing because I'm roasting a Cuban-style marinated pork tenderloin for cuban sandwiches this afternoon/evening. Last night I cooked dinner for 3 of the girls who moved in across the hall from us last month, they're really really nice and cool people. They're also volley ball players for the University. I'm supposed to go watch their game tonight? woot woot.
I'm just happy that I'm starting to meat new people. Last year I didn't make nearly as many new friends or meet nearly as many people as I wanted to and I'm making an active effort to change that. Thusfar it's working. Awesome.
The only downside is that after hanging out with the girls across the hall all night I had to wake up early to put the freakin' roast in the oven. Gay. *yawn*
Take care kiddies. Peace, Love, and Rock & Roll.
