Is it bigger than a breadbox?

No.

Is it smaller than a breadbox?

No.

Is it a breadbox?

Yes.

Yeah for a "new" breadbox! I've been stopping by the thrift store (MCC Generations) regularly for the last couple of months, hoping to pick one up (amongst other things), and I finally got one :-)

Speaking of food, it has been an all-you-can-eat week. My portly figure does not need this, even if all of the meals were delicious! A pizza hut buffet to celebrate a co-worker's accomplishment, then a Hot Pot dinner at Leung Yve (across from the Huether on King) with swing dancing friends, and finally a Ye's sushi run with a subset of the KWLT tribe. Lots of tasty fun!

I was curious about the Leung Yve, but I had never worked up the courage to go in- it looks a little sketchy from the outside. But it is just the austere decoration common to many authentic asian restaurants. The hot pot was really good and fairly reasonably priced (I think I paid $14 or $15 after taxes and tip). No idea if they have vegetarian options- I ate far too much meat that evening! Luckily, it was a dancing evening, so I got to work off some of the calories.

Ye's is always fun, and now that I've been three times, I think I've figured out what to order. You see, going out for sushi when you can't eat fish is a somewhat tricky proposition. I could just eat the chicken karaga and teriyaki beef and various other forms of tasty meat, but that isn't entirely healthy, nor does it feel like I went out for sushi. But this last trip I discovered the following dishes that are both delicious and work within my food restrictions (documented mostly so that I can remember what it was that I liked for my next trip):

- Creme Wasabi Crispy Roll
- Ginger Roll
- Tempura Yam Handroll
- Mango Cucumber Roll

Mix in some meat and dumpling options with that list, and I will feel both sated and satisfied that I've been out for the advertised experience :-)

Yummm... now I just need to make some bread to put in my breadbox...
