It was a lovely little storm. We never get thunder or lightning here, so it's always a bit of a treat.

Is that an injury on your hand...? Looks painful!

I'm not sure if you're putting me on or not...

I'm fine. Really. If you look carefully, you can see where it slid sideways between shots.

It's flattering to know my friends think I would take the time to prettily photograph medical emergencies before dealing with them, as that speaks of a certain kind of mind, but it just washed right off.

Waiting - by Sheila Chandra a_dream_tiger September 15 2008, 17:51:26 UTC
"Like a dessert rose I sit at your feet
Like a dessert rose I sit at your feet
Trolling for a raindrop to fall from your lips
To fall from your lips

I'm waiting to be awoken and borne by your calling
I'm waiting to be awoken and born by your calling
I'm waiting

The blood red lullaby is rocking my throat
Uhh-ahh-ungh-aahh-uh-unh
My whole being trembles in dumb mimicry
In dumb mimicry

To echo and to savour every sound that you utter
To echo and to savour every sound that you utter
To echo"

Just a beautiful song that the images and words made me think of, primarily due to the "blood red lullaby is rocking my throat". I don't know "elbow - coming second" yet so I provided a different soundtrack with which I was familiar.

Also I was reminded of this image i just saw Saturday morning:
Strung Beads - by (guess who) Eliza Gauger

Guess on my mental map the simple maxim of "blood calls out to blood" is on one of the road signs.
