I go back to Bradley next Thursday. I'm pretty excited to get back to my "social life". It's been nice getting away from everything this summer, but things didn't turn out like I had hoped, and I'm getting bored. And fucking hungry. Since I didn't get a job, we don't have money for food. So my one meal of the day has been ramen noodles too many times in the past couple months. Ah well, such is life.
I'm listening to Kid A, and I think I'm finally connecting with it. I had always sort of liked it, but it had never been as good as The Bends or OK Computer for me. I don't know why this listen through should be any different, but it is. It's a very relaxing album (which is weird because the actual music is all over the place..). Maybe it's because this is probably the first time I've listened to it on my new and totally awesome surround sound speakers. Radiohead really needs to remaster their albums to utilize surround sound. Oh god, that would be sweet. Very few artists have done that, and I think Radiohead's music warrants it. But that's just... like... my opinion, man.
