I'm flying back from performing at the Hippie Awards in Las Vegas, where I was asked to be part of the evening's entertainment. I preformed a number entitled: "On the Wings of a Winter's Wind We'll Ride" which was the song that Celine Dion sang at the end of "Biker Boyz". Did anyone see that movie? Was it good? I'm sure it was if Orlando Jones was in it. He lends everything he works on a thin patina of goldenness.
And for those of you who don't know, the Hippie Awards are given out every year for the best hippies. This year there were a lot of surprises, but also a lot of unsurprises. Goat picked up his third award for "Most inspirational response to a Park Ranger". When a Park Ranger told him that he was going to have to clean up and vacate the campgrounds at this years Fertility Jamboree and Witch Party, Goat looked straight at the dude and said, "My friend, you may have the authority to ask me to leave, and you may have the fancy badge (authors note * It wasn't fancy, but whatever), but only God can tell me when it's time to leave. That's all I have to say, now if you don't mind, I should get going." Another big winner was the Douche Family (they've now grown to over 52 members - and they got a new bus that's made out of recycled milk crates and old potato peels. It doesn't run but it's very environmentally friendly.) They won two different awards. One was for "Funnest Fake Family". And the other, which is soooo ironic, was for "Biggest Douche's!" Imagine that! And why would they give out such a derogatory award? Oh well, I guess that's why they call them Hippies! But back to the real story.
