Hey there....
hmm where to begin...
When I was 2 years old I learnt to draw
When I was 5 years old I learnt that you could draw for money
When I was 10 years old I learnt that you could put drawings on your skin that would never wash off... tattoos....
When I was 18 years old I learnt that drawing really really good... meant absolutely nothing in the career world.
When I was 20 years old I started looking into what it took to professionally put permenant drawings on people and learnt that
women do not become tattooists
bikers rule the industry
apprenticships are rare and impossible
most tattooists are men,... bikers... and dickheads...
and that tattooing does not pay much... unless you are amazing.....
When I was 27 I went to the tattoo international exhibition and met a german tattoo artist who had the most amazing artwork I had ever seen in my life. I said to him "I travelled 10 hours from Brisbane to see you,... I give you my arm, do whatever you want, I just have to have your work on me because you are amazing."
He tattood my arm... whilst hung over and drunk... with a slight language barrier (he only knew a little english... I only knew a little german. And an international friendship was made... he admires my artwork, Im in love with his.
In a week he moves to Sydney...
I asked him something...
He said yes.
More to come.
At 27 I married the man of my dreams.... will I have the job of my dreams at 28?
