SHORT - Lox and Gre (HP/SS)

Usually, I'm not much of a smut-writer, but...you know how sometimes you just read fics and love them so much and want more so much that you want to go ahead and write it yourself? Well, maybe you don't, but that's what this is. It's a mini-sequel to "Idle Hands" by Nimori, and I don't think you need the one to understand the other, but man, if ( Read more... )

Oh my GOD. Oh my fucking GOD. There are... tears in my eyes and I'm... I'm moaning... and I... oh hell, I...

... goddamn it, woman. I had lost my soul to 'Idle Hands' the moment I first read it, and have re-read it almost nightly, if not weekly, since then. I'm a sick, sick puppy--and I begged Nimori shamelessly for a sequel, but she said it was unlikely, and I was aching with the need for one, and then you--*gulps*--then you go and--give me--EXACTLY what I wanted--and--damn you--

...

... Er.

*cough* I can't say how grateful I am for this. Really, I can't. This fulfills every fantasy of mine, and unfolds like a glittering tapestry of some come-strewn paradise, exactly as angry and vicious and lovely as it deserves to be, and I can scarcely believe that I've come across a wet dream of mine written so exquisitely. You take Nimori's concept, her sharp edges and clean minimalism, and you make them rich with your own brand of lyricism--that trademark poetry you manage to inject into every phrase, such as: Severus almost can’t tell any more when the clear autumn skies and Hogsmeade candy detectable on Potter’s skin have been completely smeared over with come...

Oh, you make my heart break with the sheer perverse beauty of that. --And, of course, the three faint freckles, and how they made my breath catch and my pulse stutter.

And the last bit--that last bit--effing perfect.

And it’s not that he wants to keep this (Potter sated and open and in thrall), only that he wants to keep Potter off balance, because that’s the only way to win, with Potter.

Ah, I love how you turned this into a dangerous power-game--which it was from the beginning, but so much closer now, because Harry is no longer a passive recipient--as an active player, Harry now has his own victories and his own ploys. I bloody loved this, and how Snape tries to keep the upper hand, even on this (literally and metaphorically) slippery slope.

Sexy, gorgeous, dangerous, addictive, uplifting, shocking, wonderful. This is going straight (or bent!) into that secret, passworded folder of chan I've got saved on my computer. To be read nightly along with 'Idle Hands'. Thank you.

Hahahaha! I was talking with a friend about wrting sequels for fics we love. I have a lot of them, but this is the one I really wanted to do first. I love Idle Hands so very much!

It was my goal to explore how the dynamic would have to change over time, assuming they kept up their, er, association. So I'm glad you picked up on the struggle and the shift in power.

Thanks for hosting the community! I doubt I'd have considered posting this otherwise.

AND THANK YOU FOR THE REC! <3333333
