This weekend was originally supposed to be spent camping until we discovered that the front suspension needs to be replaced. This would have cost us a whole lot of money, but luckily Jan is amazing at getting deals and called the head office and convinced them that the problem with the car is actually a mechanical problem that in theory should be a manufacturers recall. So guess what? Our repair bill was reduced by like 80%! yes! Anyway it isn't actually being repaired until the end of this week when Jan has already left for Germany. In the mean time, both of our birthdays are coming up soon so Jan purchased a used xbox from ebay and DDR ultra mix two for me and I purchased a shirt and jacket for him. Needless to say there has already been a DDR party and I have caused at least two people to become DDR addicts.
In the pivotal life decisions department I have made some progress. I have decided that I am going to work for at least a year or two before starting a PhD, this should give me time to figure out exactly what I want to do and recover from five years straight of school. I also would really like to pay down some of my student debt which is in the neighbourhood of 40 grand. ouch. I got a letter in the mail the other day that said my monthly payments would be around $400 when I finally started paying off my loans, and I nearly peed my self. I suppose this will not be such a big deal when I get a job but at this point I have been living on a little under 15 grand a year and $400 is the price of rent. I am just a little scared for when the cost of living nearly doubles.
that is all for now
