So, a few months ago Acorn and I decided to play Plants Versus Zombies on my computer, for the first time in years. (We'd each played occasionally on my iPad, but not on my computer.) So I had to redownload the game, including all updates… and there was a new feature.
You can now make your own zombie avatars in PvZ. So naturally, I made Crash, Johnny, and Alatan. I wasn't happy with the way Zombie!Alatan turned out, but I feel pretty good about the other two, and since I just ran across the files again, I thought a few people might like to see them.
Crash has his angry eyebrows and suit. I feel like he's glaring at me for being so disrespectful as to recreate him as a zombie.
Johnny, complete with soul patch (chinstrap beard wasn't an option) and hipster scientist goggles.
Yes, these zombies now actually show up in the game. One of them, chosen at random, will appear as the flag-carrying zombie leading the final wave for a level. It gives me the giggles every time. Kind of makes up for having to replay the entire game to unlock the bonus features.
