Enchantment!
I finally finished DA last night. Yes. Finally. I procrastinated until 9PM because "Oh, I only have the final battle left, that shouldn't take too long, right?"
Yeah, I didn't get to bed until 1:30.
The following is full of spoilers. But since this is two months old to everyone else, that shouldn't matter.
Back up a day, to Alastair suddenly 'falling in love' with me without my involvement. Ugh. I ignored the "You're handsome" line of dialog for a reason! Then, I decided to just ignore it and not talk to him. Lul. Then my save at the point of leaving Eamon's estate for the Landsmeet was too late to do anything about it. So when I ended up doing the Landsmeet three times to get the results I was ok with (Alastiar + Anora 4eva!), I had to go through the damn "Oh noes, what do we do about US!" talk afterwards each time. WHAT US?! Those conversations seriously need a "Tits or GTFO" line.
And then came the big "ritual" dilemma before the fight. I successfully avoided any significant spoiler-age for that, so I wasn't explicitly expecting it. I kept a save at that point so I could try it the other way later, but I decided that for my first play, I didn't want to lose my AoE nuker before facing a horde (I figured she'd leave if I didn't agree, and the spoilers I've looked at since seem to confirm) and that this basically confirmed that Riordan would NOT be the one taking the shot (in the mouth!), so I agreed to it. I got Alastair to agree to it without the use of 'persuade', too, just to see if it was possible.
And playing matchmaker for Alastair so he stops hitting on me is fun. ;D
The whole final battle sequence was easy. Only the actually Archdemon fight gave any trouble. Morrigan was the only one that died at all (once). I like to think I did that on purpose in the hopes that it'd give her demon seed a case o' the Downs. (god that'd be hilarious if that was possible in a sequel - you run into Morrigan and her brutally retarded god-child that talks like Skippy's Dwayne the gnome)
I do think I'll replay the end from the point of the ritual decision, but I doubt I'll touch the other origins, and *really* doubt I'll go through another play through. Too time consuming! I don't know how you people do it.
