WHAT IT BE LIKE!?!?! haha- damn the bay...it continues to seep into my being and change me into this ghetto hyphy guy...wierd yet oddly refreshing. anyway...i got approved for that place and got a call from the lady who said i would have to pay a deposit 200 more than what she quoted me at first, which was a little unsettling. I then did some more research into the area around the apartment, which is like 4-6 streets of apartments, and the results were not good. The Concord police dept. gave me information on crime activity in the area for the last 3 months and they advised me of something like 18 car break ins, some petty thefts, some grand thefts, some apartment break ins etc...this also was not a good sign along with the deposit. My friend at work was looking on craigslist and saw a place that I had seen before but had declined to visit because it didnt have a dishwasher...i was being petty. They had units available still and the 1st month's rent was free, which was also pretty cool. I scheduled an appointment the friday before last and was satisfied. The master closet is actually in the master bedroom, unlike the other place and the bedroom is actually a good size too. The place seems a bit dated, but this is my first place on my own and Im not about to complain about it for a second. The basics are there and its in a better neighborhood than the other place. I asked the guy for the chance to apply and he handed me an application for the place which turned out to be with the same management company the other place I was approved for is under. He told me that if I was approved there then I would probably be approved for a place here as well, so there was no need to process it; just to pick up the paperwork. I got a call the following tuesday and was told I was approved for the place and I move in this wednesday :) I wont have internet access at home but I will still have it here at work. Its a small price to pay but when things stabilize and Ive been there for a while, maybe Ill turn it back on...I will have netflix, video games, friends and the work gym here and I think thats all I really need....maybe I'll get a library card and start reading again. I will try to work out some pictures of the place. Letcha know!
