jesse and i have grown spoiled by living in our wee house and we've decided that we really don't want to go back to apartment living. like, ever. if at all possible. as such, we are contemplating attempting to buy a house when we move to washington. of course, we're poor as fuck and only i have credit of any kind, so, i don't know how possible this

we've been looking at foreclosed properties these past couple days.. it's more difficult than looking at normal properties, because it's just a list of addresses, short descriptions and prices instead of long descriptions and photos, but we've found several places foreclosing for between $50-$100,000 which are in better areas and just as big.

we're thinking about living out of a motel or something for a month or so when we get to seattle, and then just scouring the foreclosed places until we find a good cheap house. we were already planning to save up around $4000 for a first/last/security deposit on a rental, but, if we can find a decent foreclosed place for $50,000 or so then we'd only need another thousand for the down payment and holy christ can you imagine how little a 30 year mortgage on $45,000 would be a month? i'm sure this is all probably wishful thinking on my part and the houses that cheap are probably rundown meth labs, but, i'm really hopeful that this will work out... i'm really, really over renting. i just want to fucking own my own damn house. paint it how we want, fix it up a little, have as many kitties as we want without fear the landlord will kick us out, and call it home.
