Time for updates.
I always have these weird urges to come on LJ and post things. The big news in my life is pretty much that I am graduating a year early. This summer I am going to Germany for three weeks. I will be studying (mainly) memorialization and guilt after the Holocaust. It is going to be pretty intense but I am very excited. We are visiting Munich, Berlin, Nuremberg and Dresden. Ich spreche ein bissien Deutsch. Ich vergesse zu viel Deutsch, aber ich denke ich kanne lerne fur die sommer. haha I am doomed.
Also.... I am leaving my beloved theme house. It's isn't so beloved as I thought, I'm starting to realize the transience of many of the freindships that I form. I feel that from college as well as highschool I have only made 3 or 4 close friends. The only thing that disappoints me is that I chose to be friendlier with individuals who in the end weren't really that friendly... if you get my drift? My no drinking, no drugs and unfortunately no sex, lifestyle has turned off these people from me. I guess I looked more like a "badass" than I thought. I had thought I was getting better at choosing friends
I am still dating Rickey, we've been together for over a year now. The plans are to get engaged sometime in August. After I graduate I guess we'll be getting married and I'll be moving out to Ohio. This is all from the encouragement of my mother I'd like to point out. We were planning on getting engaged and waiting a while before we got married but my mother said long engagements aren't great.. so I guess we'll get married sometime in 2008.
My life plan thus far goes pretty much as far as next year.. after I graduate I intend to get a job working for a university and then I'll eventually attend said university and get my masters in sociology.
Danny just told me that Kurt Vonnegut has died. (Inevitable, he was 84).
This summer I'm doing 18 credits including my trip to Germany, which is worth 4... I'll be in Lambertville a lot this summer. I'm doing an independent study with Tom Birkner as well as my internship with him as well. I am going to pick his brain and learn as much from him as I can.. hopefully we don't kill each other. (I really do like him though)
I have to finish either 1 or 3 more paintings by this weekend. There is a competition for either money or a scholarship.. If I can finish three that will give me enough pieces for my series to enter in the scholarship competition. I've done two paintings so far of Rickey as Christian Faith. Next I'm going to do a portrait of Vincent and then after that I plan to do one of Vince putting Justin in a submission with Rickey leaning on the ropes... after that... if I have the juice left in me I'll do a painting of Rickey punching newjack.. other wise I'll do a portrait of Justin.
I was elected as president of Asia Club today. It was not the most eventful election as I ran unopposed. I have so many ideas for Asia Club and hopefully I'll be able to make some big changes. I should get to bed though.. I have Art History which I'm really bad at and work which is not so bad tomorrow...
