Grandmother
My Grandmother arrived last night around 11, with Bill, her husband.
I'm glad that I have a pretty normal grandma. She isn't delusional or deteriorating..
She is strong and active and refuses to believe that she's growing old. =]
My grandmother was a journalist in Japan for 40 years, She even had her own column in the Tokyo Times.... She lives back in the states now, and has for the past couple of years. But it was always so cool growing up having a grandma from Japan. I got a tamagatchi 2 years before anyone else. She gave me a Sailor Moon coloring book when i was in 2nd grade. I got things way before they came to the states. One of those fake fish fishtanks way before they were here in America. My grandma thought it was so funny, because I wouldn't have to feed them or clean them or be sad when they die. hahaha.... moving along.
Today we are going to a Ramen house in a japanese market in Fullerton I think. We're going to go see my older sister, since she doesn't live here anymore. And go see her house, and I guess she wants to show grandma Chapman...and around town and stuff. I think my Grandmother will really like Orange Circle.
I got to show my grandma my facial room in my house. Oh it was amazing. She looked absolutely overjoyed. And to tell her that SHE bought all this amazing stuff for me. [i used the college fund money that she set up years ago for me] She was floored. So happy to know that she is helping her granddaughter with her career. So happy to see me doing what I've always said I wanted to do. She wanted to know what everything was, and how everything worked and what it did and why. I cant wait to give her a facial, shes absolutely going to love it.
