Art Awards
In January I submitted a small sculpture of a dancing woman to the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards competition with the title “Fire Dancer”. Earlier this week I found out that my piece received one of the highest awards, a gold key! Needless to say, I was ecstatic. Actually I almost fell down, but anyways…
My piece along with the other gold key recipients will be on display at the State Transportation Building in Park Plaza though Feb. 19th, weekdays from 9-5 and weekends from noon-5. From there it will be moved to New York for a national competition!
