On S&M...
Me: *whipcrack* And put me back in check.
Rachel: I hope you seriously aren't into that shit.
Rachel: Are you?
Me: Uh, no.
Rachel: Well you could be a furry--I should be thankful.

That cracked me up, needless to say...

That's funny... having met Ostrich - the pervert featured in Vanity Faire - I have certainly seen the dark side of the furries! [shudder!] He and I took an instant dislike to each other, and he has tried to start "flame wars" with me online. :) That's good. One should have the right enemies as well as the right friends in life!

I haven't heard of Ostrich. What's his story?

His positive "credentials" within the furry fandom is basically that he is known as a talented maker of fursuits. But as a person, he's obnoxious. Worst of all, he is a shameless self-promoter who likes to get in magazines and on TV, and "explain" what furry is all about. He basically promotes a "furry lifestyle" based around things like sexual acts with plush animal toys. He is a personification of many stereotypes about furries, and an inspiration for parodies of furries on things like "Something Awful" and "The Man Show ( ... )

I'd like to ask you about something, that I'd rather not say here, where anyone could read it. Could you email me, please? Aithinne@gmail.com

Thanks!

Sure, I will send an email off LJ to you. I don't know what else I can add. I have pretty much stated my opinion on this matter. I'm not concerned with how furries define themselves in regards to who is a real furry and who is not. I simply have friends I hare common interests with, and other who have interestd I do not share - and still others who at odds with me for one reason or another. Such is life. :)
