So, it's final. I've been excepted into the NSHSS (The National Society Of High School Scholars). This is a proud moment. Finally, all my ass-busting and now I'm actually be recognized for it. It is an amazing thing! I got a certificate, a membership card, a couple letters, and hopefully you'll see it in our local newspapers. I'm giddy! I'm a member and I'm joining their forums and the like. I was even invited to participate in their annual World Scholar-Athlete Games for 2006! Of course I'd be going for writhing/poetry. They even have an event named as such! I'm so fucking giddy!
I was also accepted and with have my information published into the Who's Who of American High School Students. That is also an amazing accoplishment! whoot whoot!
It is nice to be recognized. It is cool and I'm sorry if I sound like I'm bragging but I don't do it very often so shut the hell up! -smiles-
I'm out of here. If any of you get bored, give me a call. I'd like to catch up with some people.
Oh. Finally finished Jailbird by Vonnegut, not his best but pretty damn good. I also finished Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy which I adored and can finally give back to Charles and I'm on The Secret Life of Bees and it is amazing! Girlly, yes but still pretty damn good, in vain of The Lovely Bones by Seabold. I plan on finishing the book today, only a hundred pages left. Hell I've been sitting all around the house (mainly in this one rocking chair in Beaver's room) reading non-stop for the past 4 or 5 days with Jailbird, Hitchhiker's, and Bees. -nods- I finally got back into my writing mode.
Sorry this isn't a really long post but all my past posts for the short while have been... well, short! So yeah!
I hear, from a little bird posting, that Xanga sucks more than anticipated and soon some friends will boycott it. I hope some of you join. 'Cause I never will! -evil laughter-
