Softball Playoffs

Well, the weekend was fairly uneventful. I was pretty much exhausted Friday night so I didn't go out to happy hour with everyone. Instead I stayed home and played WoW. I should've gone to bed fairly early because I had to get up at 6am the next day, but I can never force myself to fall asleep before midnight unless I am exhausted.

Woke up bright and early and took a shower, then headed out to Elmira. After getting a little lost, I found my way to the dealership. I had an appointment for my free oil change at 8, but my dealer didn't show up til 8:30, which means I didn't get out of there until close to 10. I was a little ticked off, but eh.

After I got to Ithaca I went straight to the softball playoffs. I came in right as the team was getting their 10 run-inning. Very proud of them. They won the first game (against the worst team in the league) 18 - 3, but the second game went poorly and they were out of the play-offs.

Before the next game, we did a little batting practice, then ordered some food and watched some more of the games. The whole time Shea was hitting on my pretty persistently. He even recruited Justin's mom to try and convince me to date him. If he was a little younger (he's 36) and didn't have 2 kids and an estranged wife, I might've gone for it. But I just wasn't feeling it.

After the food, Dave asked if I wanted to go smoke a bowl with him and EJ. We went into the woods and smoked and talked. I was pretty baked, since I don't smoke all that often. It's so weird. I don't like smoking, yet I still do it when the opportunity presents itself because it's a long time since I last smoked and I think it'll be different. But it's not. I also think I don't like smoking because I try to force myself sober and fuck myself up even more.

Anyway, I drove Justin home, went to the store and got some food, then went home. I started watching "Underworld" but it was freaking me out so I slept off the pot instead. A few hours later my parents got home, and I talked with them, then went and played WoW for the rest of the night. Sunday was also spent playing WoW.

More to write, mostly about WoW, but I should probably get some work done, so it'll have to wait.

happy hour, family, video games, friends!, ithaca, softball, weekends
