Двойное гражданство

Вот хотел слепить табличку стран, которые требуют сдавать старый паспорт (отказываться от старого гражданства), при получении нового. Но оказалось, что в разных источниках данные разные.

Например, здесь (https://www.henleyglobal.com/citizenship/dual-citizenship/) Германия включена в список стран, разрешающих двойное гражданство, но помню, что мой друг, живущий в Германии, не берет гражданство, потому что хочет сохранить российское. Кто может прояснить?

С Штатами-то просто - они просто игнорируют все другие гражданства . То есть формально можно иметь американский паспорт - и еще другой.

На английской Вики довольно информативная статья про ДГ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dual_citizenship). Там также описывается 3 типа иммиграционных моделей:

• The differential exclusionary model, which accepts immigrants as temporary "guestworkers" but is highly restrictive with regard to other forms of immigration and to naturalisation of immigrants. Japan, China, Taiwan, and the countries of the Middle East tend to follow this approach.
• The assimilationist model, which accepts that immigrants obtain citizenship, but on the condition that they give up any cultural, linguistic, social, etc. characteristics that differ from those of the majority population. The United States is the primary example of this model and given its massive immigration tradition and increasingly diverse population, is very sensitive to matters regarding integration (see Immigration to the United States).
• The multicultural model, which grants immigrants access to citizenship and to equal rights without demanding that they give up cultural, linguistic, intermarriage restrictions or otherwise pressure them to integrate or inter-mix with the mainstream population. Europe, Canada, and Australia have historically taken this approach although there is some evidence that they are moving gradually toward the assimilationist model (especially in Europe as the number of non-European immigrants to the continent continues to increase) (see Immigration to Europe).[25]
